N-type
The N-type connector belongs to the “HF” type and is the most common series. This type of connection with a rolled thread is used for medium signal power levels.
Connectors in this series are manufactured in full compliance with C-39012, IEC 169-16, and CECC 22210 quality certificates. The N type coaxial connector is available for operating frequencies up to 11 GHz, with later models up to 18 GHz with an impedance of 50 ohms.
This connector is mainly used for communication equipment that has high vibration protection requirements during operation. Today, this can include satellite antennas, communication and radio equipment, measuring equipment, and local area network equipment. Such widespread use is explained by the high quality of workmanship and design features. The connectors are used to connect extension cables, adapters, RF and microwave adapters.
The technical characteristics of the N-type connector boil down to a central contact in the form of a pin or hole (male-female) and internal/external threads.
The plugs are designed for manual tightening, but some models require the use of a hex key (hex head design). The principle of operation of the connector is to use air as a dielectric between the two contacts.

In terms of power, the N-type connector is limited by the breakdown voltage of the air between the two connections. The average power rating is limited by the nominal rating of the central conductor and possible signal loss. This rating also depends directly on the signal transmission frequency.

N-type connector: application
The wave connection level of the N-type connector complies with the MIL-C-39012 standard and is available in two main types: 75 and 50 ohms.
The first version is used for the installation and configuration of cable TV. The 50 Ohm N type connector is mainly used for the installation and configuration of mobile communication infrastructure. This connector is often used for wireless transmission, cellular and paging systems. The 50 Ohm connector is used for setting up Wi-Fi signals and corresponding antennas that operate at frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
When using an N-type connector, under no circumstances should two connectors with different wave connections be connected.
