The updated version of the VIDIK-S v4 video interceptor is a rounded drone detector with the ability to intercept analog video. Very easy to use - after turning on, it automatically searches for video, and immediately displays it on the screen when found. The fourth version of the VIDIK video interceptor has even more modifications (portable, version with a reduced body, stationary). It is used to intercept video signals in the 1.2G range from 850 to 2200 MHz, in 3.3G from 2800 to 4150 MHz, in 5G from 4850 to 6100 MHz, in 6G from 6000 to 7200 MHz. The updated VIDIK-S v4 model is a version that consists of two blocks (antenna and screen) and are connected to each other by a twisted pair with a length of up to 50 meters. This solution allows you to remove the antennas from the monitor without any signal loss! This model is very relevant for armored vehicles, trench use or for an observation post.

VIDIK-S v4 drone detectors for video interception are mass-produced, have successfully passed tests at the test sites by various teams, are constantly on duty in real conditions to perform the assigned tasks. The VIDIK drone detector is produced in 5 modifications:

Option #1 VIDIK-P v3 – portable interceptor for 3 bands (1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz and 5.8 GHz). Everything is assembled in one housing for portable use. Screen, receivers, antennas, rechargeable battery - all in one convenient housing.

Option #2 VIDIK-S v3 – stationary interceptor for 3 bands (1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz and 5.8 GHz). It has a separate screen from the receiver with antennas, which are connected by a twisted pair UTP cable. This option will be more effective for use in a car, on armor, in a trench and other similar cases. The uniqueness of this solution lies in the fact that the separation from the screen does not worsen the reception and some signal, due to the fact that the signal already processed by the receiver is transmitted from the receiver to the screen through the twisted pair. On the contrary, such a solution has a positive effect and improves the reception, range of video signal interception in the areas of application specified in this paragraph.

Option #3 VIDIK-P v4 – portable 4- band interceptor (1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz, 6.0 GHz). Everything is assembled in one case for portable use. 7-inch screen, receivers, antennas, rechargeable battery - all in one convenient case.

For information on which P or S video detector option to choose:

Connecting the antenna and receiver with a coaxial cable entails signal loss. For example, with an RG-58 cable in the 5G range, the signal loss will be approximately 17 dB including connectors at a length of 10 meters, i.e. the signal on the antenna itself will be 7 times better than through a coaxial cable. If we take an RG-8 cable, then at this range and at this frequency the signal loss will be approximately 7 dB including connectors, i.e. the signal will be 2.2 times worse. And what if you need to move the antenna 30 or even 50 meters? Even using LNA amplifiers can only partially compensate for the lost signal, because it amplifies the useful signal and adds its own unnecessary noise. If you plan to move the antennas away from the receiver, we recommend ordering the VIDIK S model.

How the VIDIK drone detector works:

After switching on, the detector automatically starts scanning the airwaves at frequencies in 2 MHz increments and searching for a video signal, there is no need to press any buttons to start scanning. Scanning occurs automatically across all frequency ranges simultaneously! At the same time, the screen does not light up, the information that the video detector is searching is indicated by a flashing red LED on the front panel of the device. If the VISOR intercepts a video signal from a drone, it automatically stops on this video, the screen itself instantly turns on, emits a sound signal and the red LED constantly lights up. To turn off the sound, press the I button, the next time you scan the intercepted video, the sound signal will sound again. The intercepted frequency on which the video was found is displayed on the screen in the upper left corner, the RSSI signal level is displayed in the top center of the screen, the larger the number, the stronger the signal level. If you want to skip the found video when scanning, for example, a video from your drone or the detector stops at a certain frequency by mistake, then you need to press the I button for 10 seconds and the screen will say Ignore with this frequency. If you want to continue scanning, then press the up button or the down button. The difference in the buttons is that when you press up, the scan will increase the frequency and go around in a circle, and when you press down, the scan will decrease the frequency and go around in a circle. The time for a full scan is approximately 15-20 seconds. The video signal is scanned by frequency in 2 MHz steps, not by channels. The + and - buttons are used to smoothly adjust the frequency in 2 MHz steps. While the video is displayed on the screen, the detector does not scan subsequent videos at other frequencies. It is advisable to switch to scan mode from time to time to find new video interceptions.

A very common and widespread question, but there can be no clear answer to it. We can only provide statistics that are averaged from our users' reviews. Why is there no answer to this question?

The range of video signal interception depends on the following conditions:

  • The power of the transmitter that needs to be intercepted?
  • Operating frequency range (1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz)?
  • Drone flight altitude?
  • Terrain?
  • Passage of radio waves?

Of course, no one knows these conditions in advance, so it is incorrect to clearly orientate yourself to specific distances. In order not to confuse users, we will give several examples that were actually obtained by our team at the testing grounds:

  1. The transmitter power was 2 watts.
  2. Operating frequency in the 5.8 GHz range
  3. The drone was flying at an altitude of 200-300 meters above the ground.
  4. Terrain - plain
  5. The passage of radio waves is an ordinary sunny day.

Under these conditions, the interception distance was 4,000-6,500 meters.

The maximum feedback from users was as follows - at 1.2 GHz, they caught it at a distance of 15-25 km, there were situations when with a directional antenna they received a stable video signal at a distance of 25-35 km at 3.3 GHz. Of course, the transmitter power in these situations is unknown to anyone.

Advantages:

Довго тримає заряд, далеко ловить сигнал

Дуже радію, що став один з перших власників цього детектора. На відміну від третьої версії батарея довше тримає, заряд в 2 рази швидше, можу підключати будь-які зарядки.

Потрібна довжина кабелю від детектора до екрана до 20 метрів. Чи можливо це зробити без втрат якості зображення?
Answer:
ВІтаю! Так, перевірено і протестовано в бойвих умовах до 50 метрів, якісь буде така сама як і на 1 метрі, тобто в кабелі нічого не буде втрачатися.
